Mike’s involvement with Valley Free goes back many years. Valley Free was instrumental in showing Mike and his wife, Sandy, the vitality, grace and truth of a loving church community in their early years of marriage. With this positive influence in those early years, Mike and Sandy continued to grow in Christ as they were woven into the church family. Seeing Christ at work in the fellowship of the church family was formed into a passion to help others experience Christ’s love in the context of community. That passion led Mike and Sandy, along with their three kids, to become church-planting missionaries to Pitesti, Romania. They saw God move in many ways to establish a sister-church in that city. Following ten years of ministry in Romania, Mike and Sandy returned to Chaska where Mike took up the role of Pastor of Ministry Development at Valley Free. Mike often says, "The church needs to take up the challenge to raise up its own leaders and to send people into the world who are well-equipped to share Christ within their sphere of influence."
In January 2009, Mike was selected to be the senior pastor of Valley.
The Sindelars live in Chaska and love spending time with their family. Mike will also brag about their grandchildren, Joel and Vivian Mae, who were born to Jeremy and his wife, Sarah. Mike is also quick to brag about his family. He considers Sandy, his wife of 31 years, his partner in ministry. They have three children, Jeremy, Justin and Jennifer who are all married to great spouses!

I am more commonly know by the youth at Valley as Skins (don't ask me why, there is no good explanation). I desire to see the Holy Spirit work in my life and the life of others in powerful ways beyond human explanation. I also long for the day when Christ will return to make all things new and remove every tear from our eyes. I appreciate the life of Jesus Christ, and am thankful for redemption in Him.
I cherish and enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, Brittany. The two of us enjoy having youth over to our house. We are grateful for all the trips and weekly meetings which allow us to spend quality time with a variety of youth. I have far too many interests and hobbies to post on a short bio. Stop by my office, we can grab some food or coffee and get to know each other. I love hearing people's stories.

I've been privileged to work as Valley Free's secretary since January 1999. In that time I have come to love the congregation and its pastors as they have ministered to me in various and loving ways through the work I do here and also personally. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful is the God we serve and it is both a comfort and a joy to share that love with my Valley Free family. My husband, David, and I have 3 grown children - Aaron, Amanda and Jeremy. He retired from the Post Office and is working for Entegris now. Weekends are spent with our two lovely and lively granddaughters, taking them on outings and to church on Sunday.
