The Parish Nurse ministry follows Christ’s healing ministry by serving others with love and compassion to promote healing and wholeness in all areas of our lives.

As the parish nurse at Valley, my role is to be a health educator and advocate for individuals where health issues are a concern. I am available to do blood pressure checks, hold first aid classes and do home visits. In addition, I contribute a monthly health related article for the church newsletter.

The VEFC parish nurse is a professional registered nurse, licensed by the State of Minnesota, and has completed a Parish Nurse Program.
All personal information is kept strictly confidential.
Goals include:
- Reclaiming an old tradition of the church, which was involved in health related and healing ministries.
- Aid people who are struggling with an ever increasingly complicated health care system.
- Address the concerns of our members as it relates to aging and the elderly.
- Increase awareness in the congregation of the close relationship between physical, social, mental, emotional, and the spiritual needs of each person.
- Help individuals in all aspects of life celebrate the miracle of life as a gift of God.
