We all love our kids! We also love the kids as they fill our church hallways with activity, laughter and life. We celebrate that today. When God talks about children His heart is full of the same joy. But He goes further in the depth of HIs love than we can imagine. He looks out over the generations and uses words like heritage, faithfulness and forever to describe his children. Today we look into God's heart for the ages and for our kids.

The seventh sign of the Gospel of John is the most powerful, the most public, the most impactful and the most profound of all the signs given by Jesus. John reveals three motives of Jesus in telling of this compelling event. Two of them, His love for those who follow Him and the glory of God being revealed in the circumstances of life, we discussed last week. The third motive is actually the foundation for all the signs.

Fully God and fully man. At the core of our Christmas celebration is the amazing truth that the God of all creation has set aside his glory and taken on human flesh. He did it in a white-hot pursuit of you! God is so amazing in his love for us that He sent His son Jesus, to restore us to the love of the Father. Looking at Jesus we see who God is and we also see what it means to be fully human. Today we look at the first half of the equation - the all encompassing glory of God.

The church had made a commitment to take a special offering for the church in Jerusalem. In his instructions to the church, we can take away timeless truths about how to give as well as the work of God that takes place in the context of generosity.

The Apostle John was given a vivid picture of heaven and told to write it down so that others can catch a glimpse of it. Heaven is a place and a concept with many definitions today. The Bible doesn't give us every detail of what we can expect in heaven, but neither is it silent on the topic. Today, we explore the fascinating future that God has planned for His family!
